OUR STORY

FOUNDERS STORIES:

Some of the most important lessons behind Bawa Gone Goan didn't come from a classroom, a cookbook, or a boardroom.

They began in two kitchens.

Prochi's Home:
As a 90s kid growing up in a Parsi home in South Bombay, I spent countless afternoons sitting on the kitchen counter, watching my grandmother, Roda—though to me she was always Bayu—cook with incredible instinct and care. She never measured anything. A pinch here, a handful there, and somehow every dish turned out perfect. What amazed me most was that although she didn't eat meat herself, her chicken curries and festive dishes were legendary among family and friends.

Bayu believed that food was one of the purest ways to show affection. Every meal was prepared with patience, generosity, and pride. Without realizing it, those afternoons shaped me. The curiosity to understand flavours, the excitement of feeding people, and the belief that food carries stories and emotions were all lessons passed down from Bayu.

Today, every time I step into a kitchen, I find myself reaching for ingredients with the same instinct she had.

And in many ways, the passion and joy I have for food isn't something I discovered on my own—it's something I inherited, sitting on that kitchen counter, watching Bayu cook with all her heart.

The recipes may have changed over the years, but the spirit behind them remains the same—a little bit of Bayu in every meal I make. ❤️

At the same time,......

Nixon's Home:
My mother was introducing me to the rich flavours of our Goan heritage. I was the child constantly asking questions while she cooked—wanting to know what went into every dish and why. Some of my favourite moments were listening to her stories about her grandmother, who was known in the family as an exceptional cook. Through those stories, recipes became more than food—they became memories, traditions, and a way of preserving our heritage.

But there was one thing she often told me that stayed with me throughout my life:

"Ranpak Shikhaat ani tume kenach upashi morchenat."

Translation: "Learn to cook, and you'll never die hungry."

At the time, it sounded like simple advice. As the years passed, I realised it was much more than that. She wasn't just teaching me how to cook; she was teaching me independence, creativity, and the importance of keeping our family's food traditions alive.

BRAND STORY:

Today's consumers are more aware than ever of what's going into their food.

Yet many packaged products continue to rely on ingredient lists filled with preservatives, artificial additives, flavour enhancers, excess oils, and ingredients that most people wouldn't use in their own kitchens.

At Bawa Gone Goan, we believe convenience shouldn't come at the cost of quality.

We started with a simple idea: create products that are made with real ingredients, transparent labels, and flavours people can genuinely trust. Food that delivers on taste without relying on unnecessary shortcuts.

Our philosophy is simple:

Clean Labels. Transparent Ingredients. Honest Flavours.

Every product is thoughtfully crafted to bring together convenience and authenticity, using ingredients chosen for their purpose, not just their shelf life. No unnecessary fillers. No heavy oils. No compromises on flavour.

In an industry where complexity has become the norm, we're committed to keeping things simple. Because good food shouldn't leave you decoding an ingredient label. It should nourish, satisfy, and become a part of everyday life.

That's the future of packaged food we believe in.

Clean Taste. Bold Roots. In Every Pantry.
